It’s been a good few weeks since we arrived in Calvisson, France, and it’s going splendidly!
The weather has been amazing here, and we’ve been treated to beautiful sunsets most evenings. We’ve been soaking up the sun in the pool and the garden – going through lots of Kindle books in the process – and have put the GoPro to good use attempting to film underwater. We’ve also successfully managed to cycle to the supermarket in the nearby village, learn some new recipes, and eat over 60 eggs between the two of us (mainly in bed, with soldiers and juice). There are lots of cats here and Isobel’s made friends with them all; the two ginger regulars have been named Charlie and Charlie Junior…
Shannon’s mum visited earlier in the month, and brought over some well-recieved cheddar cheese and Oreos, and spent a few days with us relaxing by the pool. Now we have Isobel’s grandparents, who have been treating us to days out and lots of good cooking. We bought cherries at the market on Sunday, visited some windmills at the top of the hill and looked out over the countryside, and tried Lavendar ice-cream at Aigues-Mortes.
There will be more family joining us soon, and hopefully we will be doing some more exploring, and definitely some more lying in the sun!
