Finding our way through the back lanes to the train station, everyone walks on the train tracks. They have huge abandoned trains; two stories and grubby. Luckily a lady in the station spoke English “a little” and we managed to ask her a bunch of stuff about trains taking bikes to Brasov. Apparently there aren’t any, so we booked a train at 6am tomorrow to Sibiu, a nearish town. In the city centre we met a fluent English speaking woman giving out leaflets who helped us get the right tram (which we didn’t pay for, sneaky sneaky). She said she came from Sibiu and it’s beautiful and medieval, with lots of hotels by the station, so hopefully we’ll be okay!
So now we’re back in our room after saying goodbyes to the nice hotel lady, eating laughing cow cheese and apple and raspberry Fanta! Looking for ways to get to Brasov from Sibiu. Tonight we’re re-packing the bikes because they’re heavy as hell and we can’t ride them in traffic. Plus we have to fix the brakes. Joy!
